A Legacy of Earthmoving, Rooted in Family and Built on Hard Work

Excavation runs deep in Chris Taylor’s blood. After returning from World War 2, Chris’s grandfather launched an excavating business in the late 1940s, laying the foundation for what would become a multigenerational trade. In the 1970s, Chris’s father bought and operated a coal mine, eventually closing it but holding onto the heavy equipment. That decision sparked something bigger — a lifelong passion for the work.

Chris spent his childhood riding dozers and shadowing his dad on job sites, picking up the skills and discipline that come from doing real work with your hands. Summers and weekends were spent learning how to move earth with purpose and precision.

Today, Chris brings that experience and dedication to every project. What drives him most? Running the machines, shaping raw land into something functional and lasting — and watching a client’s reaction when their vision becomes reality.
